Allu's Geeta Arts to release Leader in AP

The tremendous success of ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Magadheera’ gave the much needed boost
to Geetha Arts banner headed by sr. producer Allu Aravind. Geetha Arts over the
past few months and has taken the mantle to promote several big budget films
apart from producing films on their own.
Recently he distributed the Telugu version of Hollywood flick ‘Avatar’ in the
entire AP and you all know the box office
results of this flick. On other hand he also purchased the distribution
rights of Mahesh Babu-Trivikram’s film and Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Puli’.
Now the news is that Geeta Arts has
purchased the distribution rights of entire AP of Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Leader’.
This movie is the maiden film of Daggubati Rana made under the prestigious
banner AVM Productions. As per the schedule ‘Leader’ is supposed to release on
February 11th, but it is learnt that Allu Aravind requested the makers to
further postpone the release date as he feels that it would be a tough task to
get the best theaters now since ‘Adurs’, ‘Namo Venkatesa’, ‘Maya Bazaar’ and
‘Bindaas’ are doing extremely well at the box office. So those who are eager to
watch Rana on silver screen they may have to wait for some more time.
Shekhar Kammula has directed the film and it has been produced by M.Saravanan,
M.S.Guhan, Aruna Guhan and Aparna Guhan under film under AVM Productions banner.
‘Leader’ is AVM’s 174th movie. Richa Gangopadhyay and Priya Anand are also
making their debut in Telugu film industry. Shekhar Kammula, who has also
written the story apart from directing this film, is said to be very confident
about ‘Leader’. Mickey J Meyer has composed the music for this film. Thota
Tharani is handling the art direction and production design and Vijay C.Kumar is
handling the camera.
